Byron Westbrook:

Brooklyn-based artist and musician Byron Westbrook has been performing and showing experimental sound work internationally since 2008. Writer Marc Masters (Bandcamp/The WIRE/Pitchfork) recently called Westbrook "one of the most interesting and distinctive composers in any genre." His debut LP release on Root Strata was named #4 Best Experimental Album of 2015 by Pitchfork Magazine. In 2017 a follow up LP was released by French label Hands in the Dark Records and 2018 sees a new cassette release on Umor Rex. Westbrook's work has been presented by Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), Akousma Festival (Montreal) ICA London, Cafe OTO (London), MoMA PS1, ISSUE Project Room, Abrons Arts Center, Pioneer Works, Experimental Intermedia Foundation (NY), Human Resources (Los Angeles), Disjecta (Portland, OR), Instants Chavires (Paris), Fylkingen (Stockholm), the LAB (San Francisco), among others. He has been artist in residence at Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Clocktower Gallery, Diapason Gallery, EMS Stockholm and ISSUE Project Room.

John Also Bennett:

John Also Bennett is an American composer, flautist and synthesist based in Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of the trio Forma and founding member of the duo Seabat, as well as composing and performing solo under his own name. He has collaborated with Jon Gibson, Christina Vantzou, American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), Peter Burr, Zin Taylor and many others, and performed at festivals internationally including Big Ears, Moogfest, Meakusma (Belgium), Jue (China), The World Minimal Music Festival (Amsterdam) and Nostros (Greece). He will perform several new solo works using flute and synthesis.
